24th October 2006 (Tuesday)
So long no update liao.... guess maybe put somethng on to make sure my blog isn't collecting and cob webs =.= Any way, went to Orchard with JianHui as we had previously agreed. Actually Chris Hong Mun Heng is supposed to be coming along with us, but he came out with a lamest excuse "Leg Sprained"! Sigh.... dun wan go say dun wan go la, give such lame excuse.... =P

Met up with JianHui at Heeren as i saw as Limited Edition Nike Free shoe last weekend. As he's the shoe expert, so i dragged him along to give me some comments on the shoe. Initailly still hestitated whether should i buy the shoe, as i already got a exact same pair at home, juz that the one i saw is limited and in a different colour.... After some hesitation, finally decided to buy it, treating it as a reward for my past weeks hard work at work ;) Really did not regretted abit after i bought it, as its really very special. The whole shoe changes colour under strong lights! This really made the shoe special and made me feel that my money is well spent =D (Some consolations)

Busy Busy Busy....
15th October 2006 (Sunday)
Busy busy busy...... Have been really busy for the past 2weeks. But some how or rather im glad as i feel that im progressing in my current job. Maybe is becos i did the right thing at the right time.... about 2weeks ago, our dept's head of unit popped by our office, he was walking around the office and noticed that our table is all messy with lotsa papers and he's surprised that we are still depending on papers to work.... he then sat beside me and started to make suggestions on whether if we could streamline our current work process and and go into a paperless working environment..... at that point ideas kept running thru my head on is it possible to do it? So after he left i really sat down and thought about if there's really way to go "Paperless"! So after some brainstorming with my mgr, Sam. I finally came out with some thing and proposed to my Boss. And never expected that it really worked out and all the bosses liked my idea and now we are working with my new process....

Not long after that, my Boss came to me again and asked me if i can take up another responsibilty, to come out with a script and some simple process for the migration of Thailand's work to Spore. Because of this new project, i have been cracking my head on the new process and on few occassions i worked till like 11pm worked till forget time -.- But i hope i can come out with something soon.... Besides of the new Thailand process which i need to come out with, im also given the responsibilty of training new staffs! As our dept is expanding, we will be recruiting lotsa new staffs, but current we already got 3 new colleagues. I forsee that there will be more coming in, so guess i will need to come out with a set of training notes for them, so that it will be easier and more organised when giving the training....

Met up with Liu Ping, a new colleague of mine. She's from China and came to Spore about 4yrs ago and has just recently graduated from NUS. Any way, decided to show her around, as it's the festive season for the Muslims as Hari Raya is juz around the corner, so i brought her to Geylang Serai to try some of our local Muslim food and also to have a feel of the Hari Raya Festive atmosphere! I recommended her the Mee Soto and the Malay Mutton Soup, and surprisingly she loved it =D After our dinner we went into the Pasar Malam for a walk and also to try out some of there finger food =P Really had an enjoyable and fun evening..... Probably will be bringing her to Little India too =P
