Cocco Latte (19/02/2005)

Cocco Latte !

This is the day i left Arcade the earliest. Why??? Cos today Chris say that he will recommending me to a Pub, very different from all the other pubs, and morever he had also asked fatz, Desmond, Kok Heng and Junming to come along. As quite a number of my friends are also going, so i tagged along as well.

The pub is located at the far end of M.S, and its in a Hotel called The Gallery Hotel. When we reached there, the atomosphere is really very different from the pubs i've visited. The whole place looks really classy (maybe because its in a Hotel =P).

According to Chris, we are required to pay $18.00 for the Cover Charge that includes 2 complimentary drinks, but if we open a bottle of wine, we can go in for free. After much calculations, we thought that if might be cheaper if all of us were to chip in $40.00 and open a bottle of 'Chivas' that cost about $188.00.

When we got in, true enough, the place is very much different from all the pubs i've been to. This place consist of 2 seperate floors, the 1st floor is a cozy lounge with sparkling mood lighting and the place is furnished with couches just suitable for people that just wants to chilled out with a couple of friends and to enjoy a few drinks. As for the 2nd floor, its just like all those disco pubs, a huge dance floor for people to dance and party all nite long.

Whoa, i really enjoyed myself that nite, at 1st we got ourselves comfortably seated on the couches and we started drinking and chit chatting. Luckily this pub offers free flow of Mixer (Coke and Green Tea) for us to mix and drink with the wine we bought. we played games, had our fun drinking. Only for Junming, he's the only mood spoiler, as he can't really take alcholic drinks, so he only can drink the Coke and Green tea -.-" Chris and fatz even made fun of him, saying that he is wasting out mixers .... even thou, he is fun enough to join in our games. After we had our fun, Chris decided that we should go for a dance at level 2, and so i joined him and some of his frens that he met there.

I really had loads of fun chilling out @ Cocco Latte ^^ Frankly speaking, this is the kind of club that will make me go back again, cos i really like tha idea of having 2 seperate floors for in a same place with 2 different kind of entertainment. People interested to find out more of this place do visit its webby.

Send Offerings to "Tai Sui" (17/02/2005)
Tai Sui Ye's Altar

I had 3days leave from 14/02/2005 (Mon) - 16/02/2005 (Wed), so rightfully im suppose to report back to today (which i didn't), cos i had a very bad sore throat after all the heaty stuffs i ate thru the Chinese New Year.

Earlier this morning, after i called office to inform that im not reporting to work due to the sore throat, i immediately called up my Family Doctor (Dr Goh Wei Liang) to make an appointment to see him. His clinic is located near Chinatown, to be exact, its @ Chin Swee Rd (used to stay @ Jalan Kukoh since birth til the age of 13). The doctor said my right Tonsil is very swollen and also running a slight fever. He prescribe me with some Anti-biotics and some flu pills. He's really a very good doctor as i will be alright after taking 3 - 4 times the medications he prescribe.

While i was about to head back home, i remembered that some one told me that in year 2005, those people born in the year of Rooster, Horse, Rabbit and Rat had offened "Tai Sui". (And im born in the year of the Rooster O.o) i was thinking, since i have the time today, so i called up my cousin, who is also born in the year of the Rooster to accompany me to send some offerings to "Tai Sui". We went to a temple in Havelock Road, to our surprise, quite alot of people is queuing up to send offerins as well. There will be a person taking down our day, month and year of birth and also our Chinese names and write it down on a piece of yellow paper. We are also required to pay $8.00 to buy the necessary incense for the ritual.

After that we will have to wait for more people to come, and when they have gathered enough people, we will have to go over to the altar and a priest will chant, read out our names 1 by 1 and sprinkled Holy Water on use. After which, the priest will give use some food (red dates, olive etc...) for us to eat, saying that its for good luck in the coming year.

After the ritual, my cousin and i went to read some articles on the dos and don'ts for people that are born in the year of the Rooster. We found out that we are best to avoid traveling and attending funerals on the Lunar month of Feb, May, Aug and Nov. In this year, we are to be more humble and be more patient, and also not to have suspicion on people thinking that they might harm us. Keeping low profile is also 1 of the 'dos' and always have 'team work', avoid working alone. And most importantly take all advice seriously, consider carefully whenever anybody gives us an advice. The article also advice people born in Rooster year to wear more "Blue" and "Green" outfits. And our lucky colour for this year will be "Green" and "White" and our lucky number will be 3358 and 1388. Attached is the picture of "Tai Sui"

Finished assembling my V.Dae present (15/02/2005)

My Valentine's Day Present

FINALLY!!!!

Mission accomplished! Whoa it took me a whole solid 6hrs to complete assmbling the present Sharon gave me. It really made me feel like its a never ending process im going thru. Initially when i received the present, i thought it will be a simple task for me as i really enjoy Arts & Crafts. But after trying this, i regretted thinkin too highly of myself. The worst part of this task is that, those tools you'll normally use for handicrafts, eg. scissors, ruler, pen knives, are insufficient, this "Project" made me use pincers (to twist the wire for the 'vase') and needles (to sew the curtains together). It was really a tough battle, but seriously i felt a sense of satisfaction upon completion =D I started to work on this at around 3pm, and when im done, its already 9.30pm O.o Woot!

Luckily, i had a filling and sumptuous lunch in a restaurant called Kuishin Bo @ Suntec City which lasted the whole evening without feeling hungry. By the way, it's a buffet lunch (refer to my reviews for more info on this restaurant), They have a wide range of Japanese Food for you to choose from, but of cos i'll grab Salmon Sashimi (my all time fav) i really enjoyed the lunch, its highly recommended for all those japanese cuisine lovers.

Valentine cum Friendship Day (14/02/2005)
Me & Sharon
Another year of lonely Valentine's day, the life of singlehood *Sigh* ....

This year is slightly different from the prvious year, cos i got my 1st valentine day (or shld i say friendship day) present ^.^ I got a DIY Handicraft [Kinda Cute]. Today i went out with one of my gal friend whom happens to be "single" as well, we thought it might be cool to spend this special day together as so to keep our lonely souls company =D But in actual fact, she is the 1 tat is keeping me company, cos im the 1 who wants to go Lee Hwa Jewellery @ North Pt to check out the price of a pendant, (why LeeHwa @ North Pt??? Cos 1 of my friend is working there and i can get discount whahaha)

Any way before we went Yishun, i met her Causeway Pt as she is staying in Woodlands, we had our lunch together @ Yoshinoya. After checking out my pendants price, we went back to Causeway Pt to shop ard, she's meeting 1 of her gf to go to the UK fun fair, while waiting we went shopping @ Causeway Pt, while walking around, an idea struck me, i suggested that we buy a present for 1 another as a Friendship Day present and the presnt shld not be more than $15.00, so she got me a DIY handicraft set (as shown in the photo) and i got her a bear wrapped up nicely like a bouquet of flowers. We did enjoyed ourselves today.

I will assemble the handicraft and post a picture of it once im done with it. (Hope i dun destroy the whole thing =D)

Chinese New Year Visiting (10/02/2005)

"The Perfect Couple"

today i went to 1 of my sec fren's place to "bai nian" (but actually to get ang bao, keke) remember the last time i've been to her hse was like 10yrs ago, during our sec sch time. Kinda missed the times we spent together during those times. T.T

Any way, while on my way to her place, i was suppose to take bus 61, 143 or 166 at City Hall, but juz dunno why when i reached the bus stop, i totally forgotten wat bus shld i take and i imeediately boarded bus 145, only then i realised tat i might have took the wrong bus. So to cnfm, i gave minmin a ring and realised that i have in fact boarded a wrong bus, hence i quickly pressed the bell and dropped at the next bus stop (glad i made a rite choice to have called her to cnfm)

When i reached her place, the 1st thing she did was teasing me for being so blur -.-" and the worst part is, her parents r OUT !!!! i have to wait for them to come back. While waiting she showed me her fotos and we had a good chat, and we also played with her 2 big fat rabbits =p Not long after tat, her parents returned home and i wished them Happy New Year, and in return, i got 2 BIG ang baos from her mom and her auntie ^^ but sadly, we did not go out together as she needs to go visit some of her relatives in Simei =( but both of us agreed that we will meet up some other days and go out and have coffee and maybe to catch a movie (really looking forward to tat day, hahaha)

By the way, this is a photo minmin and i took together at her balcony =p (isn't she pretty?) ^^
