Celebrated Evangeline's Belated Birthday @Crystal Jade Restaurant today. Ordered the set meal for 4. The meal consists of a Cold Dish (Appetizer), a Shark's Fin Soup, a Claypot 猪肝 & Chicken, a Steam Fish, a Salted Fish Fried Rice and lastly the dessert, Red Bean Paste.
The whole meal costs about $84.00 inclusive of GST. Considerably cheap for a 6 course dinner for 4 and its relatively tasty and filling, probably because im having dinner with all girls and i could have more share as they tend not to eat much =D
25th February 2006 (Saturday) Took a train down to Orchard immediately after work as im running late for my appointment with Sam. Our plan for the day is to visit a friend of mine working in HMV to get some DVDs at a discounted rate of 20% less. Before that we had our lunch @Breeks Restaurant in Takashimaya. I ordered the Seafood Marinara and Sam had the Baked Pasta Mornay.

Thereafter headed over to HMV to buy our DVDs. I bought "The League of Their Own" by Madonna, "Forces of Nature" by Sandra Bullock and also not forgetting "28 Days" by Sandra Bullock as well. Tanks to my friend, Fabian, i could get the Code 1 "28 days" @ only $20.00 U.P $40.95, as he tampered with the bar code plus an additional of 20% off. As for Sam, he got the "Beverly Hill Cop" Part 1 & 3 as Part 2 is out of stock. But still he enjoys the 20% discount from Fabian.
Finally gathered enough courage to date XXX out for a movie. Managed to get 2 tickets to the sneak preview to "Final Destination 3" 7.15pm show @Century Cineplex. She finished work at around 6.30pm and she waited for me till 7pm as my official knock off time is @7pm. Walked over to Century Square, she insisted to buy me popcorn as im paying for the tickets. Show ended @8.45pm then i walked her to "201" and we had dinner there.
For memory sake, i juz wanted to pen this down. We watched the show @cinema 5, sat at Row C Seat 5 & 6. My 1st date seems ok, will probably be going to Night Safari together, still planning.... (Sigh!!!! Actually during the show, im more frightened than she was, but still gotta put on a show, what a torture, think will avoid horror movies in future -.-)

ARGH ..... for the past 1 week, have been a tough week for me as every where i go is "Lee Hwa - Up to 50% discount Storewide" "Soo Kee - Up to 40% off Storewide" Every where is sale sale sale! Got a hard time avoiding those sales-girls from approaching me, tempting me to buy. I promised myself never ever to step in any of these shops during these critical time. Knowing myself, im sure bond to carry something out from that shop even if my thought is to just have a peek on the designs!!!!!

Didn't expect that my 1/2 day off is approved, its was declined yesterday as my mgr was not expecting Nelson to be back today. Any way, the initial plan was to meet Cpt. Angelene (my OIC back in my NS days in SCDF) today @ around 7.30pm @Bendemeer. As my off is approved, so i called her to push forward the meeting time.
Met Angelene, Catherine (PA to the Commisioner of SCDF) and Alice (OIC of the Secret Registry) in a restaurant call "丽华" along Bendemeer Rd. At 6.30pm. Had LOU HEI again (2nd time for this year). Really enjoyed this get together session as i really missed those days back during my NS time. Talked about the fun we had and all the hot gossips during that time. Remembered back in those days, how Angelene protected me from all "Charges" for being late for work. There's this 1 incident that leaves a very deep impression until now. I remembered that its a Monday morning, im supposed to be reporting to camp before 8am, and as usual i over slept and i called Angelene to inform her that i will be late and she's aware. But when i reached camp, there's this Sergeant (CSM) stopped me and made me sign an "extra" on the coming weekend.
Sergeant : You are late, sign 2 extra! Me : I got approval from my officer to come in now. Sergeant : I don't care who your officer is, this is not the 1st time you are late.
I signed the "Charge Form" and went back to office.
Me : Ma'am i kena "Charge" for coming late. Angelene : Why? I gave you permission what!!! Me : The Sergeant say he DON'T CARE who you are, he just want to "Charge" me. Angelene : *Furious* Bring me to the Sergeant who "Charged" you.
Brought Angelene down to the guard room. Went up to the Sergeant.
Angelene : Good morning "Sergeant" Sergeant : Good morning Ma'am
Angelene : I heard that you DON'T CARE who i am and insisted to "Charge" my NSF? Are you saying that the 3 bar on my shoulder is not enough to overwrite your 3 stripes on your arm?
Sergeant : No Ma'am ....
Angelene tore off the "Charge Form" in front of him, and i gave him a smugged look before we walked off. Really grateful for her "protection" for my 2 years service for the governement.
Slept till 1.30pm woke up played a game of Dota before calling Wenjie to ask if he wanted to go out instead of staying @home to rot. Decided to meet up to go play LAN game. Met up @Bugis and walked over to Parklane. On our way to Parklane, stopped over at 富禄寿 building to check out some PC games and also to find out more about fortune this year as there's a huge "Poster" that displays all the 12 chinese horoscopes. Everything written under the Year of Rooster is bad, and so i conclude that the forecast for the year is not accurate, cos nothing good is going to happen ....
Thereafter headed to Parklane for a game of Dota before going over to Sunshine plaza to have 炸云吞面 for dinner. After dinner we really got no idea on where to go next, then the idea of going to 春到河畔 strucked me. So we both agreed as he has not been there yet.
Upon arrival, we smelled a very pungent smell, the 1st thing that came to our mind was 臭豆腐, i suggested that we buy a box and we share between ourself. The 1st bite .... and i was like, "hmm, not good ...." cos i have tried better ones in Taiwan. But for Wenjie, he thinks that its tasteless and when eating theres no smell @all, so "No Kick". Walked around the whole 河畔, watched the 变脸 show and also poked our noses in where people are playing the 猜灯谜 game.
After walking around for quite awhile, decided to find a place to rest our feet. Remembered Shawn brought me to the cozy TCC @Shenton Way, so i suggested there. Took a slow walk there passing Spore River, its so windy and comfortable, got the mood to juz sit there and enjoy the stars in he sky .... (Its too lame for 2 guys to do that, so we continued on)
When we reached TCC, i ordered a MochaVilla, then we took some pictures secretly (Photo taking is prohibited there as there are alot of art pieces being displayed there) lazed around till around 10pm before heading to Raffles MRT to take the train home.
As usual, woke up late for my 1pm lunch appointment @Sam's place. Planned to wake up @11am, take a shower and some preparations leave hous @12pm. But ..... woke up @11.30am, some procrastination, and rushed to take my shower. Called Brandon to come pick me up from Clementi, initially he wanted to come Tampines to fetch me, but as he's staying in Clementi as well, so i would not want to trouble him. Left house @12.30pm and took a train to Clementi, Then Brandon picked me up from the taxi stand in front of the Mac. Drove to IMM as he wanted to buy some 鱼生 to 捞起. So we reached Sam's house @ around 2.10pm and everyone is waiting for us -.-

After the lunch played abit of PS2 and also Black Jack. Today isn't a lucky day to gamble (I don't think any other day is lucky when it comes to gambling). Any way i lost $6.00 and i know i have to stop before losing more. Gambled with Sam's cousin and gang, while Sam played PS2 with Brandon, even thou its his game in his house, Sam kept losing to Bran, be it Car racing game, or even soccer game game ......
Bran and i left around 6.00pm as he needs to rush over to his uncle's place in Jurong West to 捞起, so he sent me to Lakeside. Took a train down to Bugis and played a few rounds of KOF before receiving a call from Shawn to ask me to go Orchard to have dinner and also to change the color of the shirt i bought for him.
It's really crowed in Orchard today as Chingay is on, we had to squeeze thru the crowd from PS to make our way to Taka, finally got pass all obstacle and managed to get to Taka safely without being pickpocketed =D Had dinner @Pepper Lunch! A japanese restaurant that serves their meal on a Hot-Plate look alike plate that is supposed to be a 200degree on temperature! Thereafter, chit chat till around 10.30pm then we took a train home ...... (More photos for the day -->Here)
Ring Ring, Ring Ring .... there goes my mobile. Argh, so damn annoying, juz let it ring and i'll juz return the call later. But some how, i just could not go back to sleep, after being woken up by that annoying ringing. Went to take a look on whos calling, WHOA!!!! Its my big boss, immediately returned his call. "Hello, boss you called?" Boss: "Yah, i forgot you are on leave, just wanna ask, how many days leave you have for this year" i was like HUH!!!!! Boss: "Nvm, i remembered" Argh, could not go back to sleep again after that.
Surf the net to download some animes and got a "Nudge" from 肥肥.

Took a train down to City Hall and walked to Suntec, just in time for the show (Almost late)!!!! This is the 2nd time im watching it, i don't mind watching it again as its really a good show and i only need to pay $5.00, so why not? After the show, had our dinner at Carl's Jr then 肥肥 drove me home. So did not actually spent much today and thanks to 肥肥 & Chris, at least im not spending the day sleeping @home =D
An one day advance Birthday celebration for Shawn's 21st Birthday. Met up with Shawn, Tim & KeeWee @Keewee's LAN shop in Parklane, played a few games of Dota before going over to 崇庆火锅 Restaurant located behind Bugis Junction for dinner. We had the 鸳鸯麻辣 cum 鸡汤 steam boat. Never expected the 麻辣锅 here in singapore is "No Kick" one. i rememberd the 1 i tried in Taiwan is damn spicy, until now i still got a fear for it. Initially i was so frightened to try the 麻辣 soup, but after Shawn tried the 1st scope and he said it was not hot at all, only then that i started to eat from the 麻辣 side.
After dinner, we took a bus down to Boat Quay's The Coffee Club (TCC), the reason we go there is bcos the place is very cosy, the place is dimly litten with comfortable bean bags for people to relax on..... We each ordered a drink and also not forgetting a slice of Bday cake juz for the Bday formality. Thereafter took a stroll along Spore River and meanwhile also took a few photos there. Got a couple from Holland to help us take a photo of the 4 of us, and we had a nice chat and culture exchange with them before heading home.
Thank god for giving me all these strength ..... AMEN!!!!
