Have been thinking very long on whether should i pen down my feelings here? But after much thoughts decided to do it as i don't keep a diary.
Have not been myself for the past few days, reason is bcos my so call "father" came to me after so many years. 1st thing he ask for is money! Of cos, i turned him down, as he has never performed the duty of a father, why should i give him anything? Bcos of that we had a big fight over this.... after he left, i had a tiff with my guardian (my father's sister) over this issue.
Most of the time im thinking, why is life so unfair to me? Why people can have a complete family and i don't? Frankly speaking, im never truly happy in the last 25yrs.... i got no one to turn to when there's problem, i got no one to turn to when im sad, no one there to share my happiness with..... I've never told my problems to any one, not even my closest guardian (as i don't want her to worry as she's very old) No one remembers my bday when i was a child, until my sec sch times when i start to have friends of my own....
Im really tired of putting on a smile in front of everyone. But i got no choice.... i know that nobody wants to have a sulking friend who always feels sorry for himself.... i've been always bottling up all my feelings! I don't know when i will breakdown? The only thing thing that kept me going is my auntie who is now 83yrs old. I cannot imagine one day when she's gone.... I know for now, i definately can pull thru this. Just like before, after every fall, i always get up again myself, im not going to fall apart so easily.....
Met up with Lexx, an old friend of mine since we 1998 when we were studying in TMC computing school. A good friend whom i could share my sorrows and woes with.... she's like a big brother to me, even thou she's different from any other gals i've known, but still to me, she's always a good friend!
She just came back from US for a break during this Summer holiday. She's been studying there for almost 2yrs.... Initial plan was to go catch a movie @PS but it seems like we have seen most of the shows liao =D So decided to probably just have dinner together. I suggested that we have Sushi for dinner as i got a sudden craving for Sushi =P She's so kind to agree to walk all the way to Wheelock's Sakae Sushi.
Me & Lexx
After dinner, met up with a friend of hers, Dillon, made our way back to PS as she parked her car @PS. Sat down at Starbucks and we had a looooong chat of the fun we used to have during school =P Really enjoyed her company as she really can joke and always have crappy jokes to keep me entertained. Hope to have another meet up with her again soon before she goes back to the States this August (Sobz)
Heavy rain storm in the afternoon. Went home straight after work with a packet of Char Siew Rice. After having my lunch, feeling is again like "Yawnz...." so decided to maybe just lie on the bed for awhile, but like always..... i fell asleep!
"Argh!!!! What's the time now! I'm supposed to meet Shawn @6.45pm at Dhoby Ghaut. OMG! It's 6.15pm and im still @home!" Quickly ran to the bathroom to have a quick shower to freshen up, while preparing to leave the house, Shawn called ..... "Shit! He must be really angry!" But.... luckily he was not angry and the only thing he said was "Ha.... i know you will sleep after your work, and i expected you to over sleep AGAIN....." And so he already met up with KeeWee 1st.
Managed to reach Dhoby Ghaut @7.15pm. We then went over to Dhoby Link's Pepper Lunch for dinner before heading over to the new Cathay to watch "X-Men 3" I personally enjoyed the show very much, but alot of my colleagues gave very bad review on the show (I wonder why?) And most importantly, after the whole show (When i mean after the whole show, it means even after all the credits are shown) There's a suspense! Professor Xavier is still alive?! Wondering would there be another X-men???
Watched DaVinci Code together with Leon @Lido, got 2 free tickets to the show, courtesy of Standard Chartered Bank =D The show is supposed to start at 9.30pm, but due to some reasons, i was late. Reached there at around 9.35pm, as its free seating, late comers will have no choice but to get the front rows seats. For us, we got the worst seats (1st Row!). Being in the 1st row, have to tilt the head up in order to watch, so feeling really very uncomfortable, so did not really enjoyed the show. Will probably wait for the DVD and watch it at home (Self-Consolation) =P
After the show, went over to Youth Park to have supper. Didn't know that there's a Kopitiam there that opens till late hours until Leon suggested that place as i don't want to have Macdonald for supper. Eat, chat and discussing our Thailand trip till about 1.30am. Now really excited for my up coming holiday (29 July - 1st Aug) Hooray!!!
A cousin of mine passed away on 19th May 2006. Never expected this to happen as there's no news of her being sick. Really shocked me when i heard the news.
Attended her wake on 20th May 2006, then the cremation on 22nd May 2006. Even thou, im not very close with this cousin of mine, but still the saying goes "Blood is thicker than water" no matter what, the family bond is still there. The moment when the casket is sent in to cremate, tears filled my eyes, feeling then was as heavy as stone, thoughts of the past kept running thru my head. Really missed her...... Life is so fragile, for her case it all happened so suddenly ..... illness struck her exactly 1yr ago (May 2005) and now she's gone....
There's also a saying "Death is not an end in life, its another begining in the afterlife"..... May god bless her with peace in the afterlife .....
Yeah, money money money...... even thou is not much, but still its courtesy of Spore Pools. I don't normally bet in any soccer games as i know nothing about it. But came Wed (18/05/2006), my manager Sam suggested that we go bet on a game. He assured me that the chances of winning is very high, and so just to entertain him, i just threw in $10 bet.....
SGD$210.00
SGD$105.00
1st thing i came to work is that Sam came to me saying that he's very guilty as he made me lose $10.... Feeling kinda sad, but told him that im prepared to lose liao hahaha. Then he say he's treating me curry puff as he also lost ..... But on our way to buy the curry puffs, he pulled out the winning tickets saying that he's juz pulling my legs =D
And so, after collecting our winnings (Sam : $105) (Me : $210) we quicken our steps as we sneaked out of office during working hours..... We both agreed that we'll either go Sakura buffet or Parris as a treat for ourselves =D
Knock off work went home straight to change as will be going over to Downtown East Chalet to celebrate Andy (a colleague from Collection Dept) 27th Birthday.
Clarissa with Andy's cake
By the time i reach its already 9.30pm. Most of the people have arrived and already started the "party" =P They were playing 五,十,十五,二十, and loser will have to drink vodka sprite..... Therefore lotsa "drunkard prawns" =D After few rounds of the game, seeing all people have arrived then Clarissa decided to start the sabo session.....
Vodka in Fruitty Taste Condom! Filled a condom with Vodka and i will be the one holding on the condom for Andy to bite a small hole and suck dry the "thing", but things did not work out the way planned as Andy tore up the condom and everything juz "spurtted" all over hit wahahaha (sounds so porno), then thereafter Andy is to bring the rest of the condom and sell it at a dollar each =D
Mmm, dinner @Manhattan Fish Market with both JianHui & Chris. Exactly same concept as Fish & Co, selling all sorts of Seafood related dishes. Even the menu is the same. I ordered the usual Fish & Chips while JianHui & Chris shared the Seafood Platter for 2.
Jianhui & me
Me & Chris Hong
After our dinner, ANOTHER JianHui arrived, accompanied him to have his dinner @Long John Silver. Before proceeding to watch "Jasmine Woman". A touching love story starring Zhang Ziyi.
Synopsis Jasmine Women tells the story of one family's struggle to overcome its tragic history, as each daughter repeats the mistakes of her mother. The film is all the more remarkable for the fact that Zhang Ziyi and Joan Chen each play three roles.
Zhang Ziyi plays the young Mo, the young Li and Hua, while Joan Chen plays Mo's mother and the older Mo in the 1930's, 50's and 80's against the backdrop of an ever-changing Shanghai.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!!! Ok, this should be my most fun and memorable bday celebration. Celebrated it with a group of my SCB colleagues which includes Desmond Chua, Jessica Sim, Diana Lim, Elizabeth Quek, Por Pei Kheng, Evangeline Tang & Irene Lee. Dinner was at Hark's Cafe which is located opposite Parklane. Nice and soothing ambience with a unplugged live band, and for those who is courageous can also request to go on stage to sing .....
As i was mentioning that this is so far my most memorable bday celebration, the reason is because this bunch of crazy friends really made the occassion a special 1 by planning it at this cafe and even the host on the stage wishes me a Happy Bday in front of all the customers that made me feel so special, and not forgetting they sang a bday song for me in front of everyone ......
By the time the dinner ended, its already 11.30pm, most of them wanted to go back home as they still need to work the next day, so left with both me and Desmond only. Hence got not much to do in Spore, Des suggested either we go for a drink, K session or movie ..... The final decision lies with me as im the Bday boy mah =P So i voted for movie. As all the cinema don't show mid-night shows on weekdays, so the only place will be Cineleisure.
We then settled the rest of the nite @Cineleisure watching MI3 ......
Ring Ring Ring ..... Argh struggling to pick up my phone as it kept ringing even thou it went off for 1 time before this.
Me : "Hello ....."
Sam : "HELLO, its me Sam ar.... we are supposed to meet up today at Tampines, i juz sent my wife to the airport. Go shower and come meet me asap."
Me : "Mmm ....."
Dragged myself to take a shower. Reached Tampines at around 11.30am, went lunch at Prime Supermarket then went for a walk in Tampines Mall. Out of curiousity, i suggested that we go check if N80 has released yet. 1st saw it at Starhub selling at $838 (2yrs contract). Then went over to M1 who is selling at $938 (2yrs contract). Finally, went over to Singtel, which is offering the lowest price of $783 (2yrs contract), without a second thought, i wanted to buy it =D (As a bday present for myself)
Immediately Sam & I went to choose a new number as im signing up a 2yrs contract to enjoying the $783 deal, else the retail price of the phone itself is $1038. Im always not good in choosing nice number so Sam picked a number for me which i myself find that its very easy to remember ^^
After making my payment, the thought of selling my 7610 kinda hurts me cos its been with me for the past 2yrs and it has never given me any problems and most importantly its been a very useful phone for me. But still decided to sell it as, a fren of mine, Ivan (working at a 2nd hp shop) is willing to take my 7610 at $300, so effectively im only paying $438 for my N80 and also not forgetting the $50 Swensen voucher which is given by Singtel, if taking the $50 voucher into considerations too, im only paying $388 on the phone, so i can say that its really a good buy for a new N80.....
Met up with Shawnie as he's the only one who remembers my birthday and always take time to shop for some really nice presents for me ^^ (Thanks Bro) ..... Had dinner at River City Restaurant in Excelsior Hotel (Recommended by Sam). A really value-for-money buffet dinner as its a Chinese style buffet whereby you can order anything from the menu ..... except for the Shark Fins and Crabs, its restricted to 1 order per person.
Shawn & Me
Food!!!
Keewee & Me
After dinner, initial plan was to go Coffee Club for a drink, but as we really stuffed ourselves with countless orders of Oat Prawns and Deep Fried Seabass, we could even hardly walk after that ..... So we headed over to Parklane to play a few rounds of Dota instead.
Thereafter, all of us headed home as un-noticeably the time is already 11.30pm by the time we finish 2 games. On my way home, was really very excited on what Shawn had bought for me. So i unwrapped the present immediately once i got home, and ..... to my surprise! Its my fav Chip & Dale again ^^ For 2 consecutive years i have been getting Chip & Dale, but still i love it very much as Chip & Dale has always been my childhood fav. But most importantly, its from my BESTEST BEST BUDDY ;)
Ok, not much on this entry, cos no pictures to upload hence i'll juz summarise the day's event.
Finished work @7pm, Jaslyn came over to fetch me to Bugis, Breko, for dinner with Pei Kheng, Evan, Irene, Diana, Julian, Desmond, Jessica, and of cos, Jaslyn and myself. After dinner, Pei, Evan, Irene & Jaslyn left as they have their own program. Jessica, Julian, Desmond and myself called a cab to bring us to a pub in Dover to join the other group for a drinking session with another group of people which includes Natalie, Alvin, Daniel, Hock Yam, Yvonne, Kelvin, Cheryl, Clement, Kian Yong & Joe. Party till 1am and we all wnet seperate way.
Actually Yvonne has brought a camera, we did in fact took some pictures, hopefully that she will send me the photos soon so as i can update again ......
01st May 2006 (Monday) Oh man, never have imagine that i woke up so early on a holiday.... Woke up at exactly 9am as im meeting, Desmond, Sean & Jessica for a KTV session at Orchard. Made an agreement, the person that arrives last will have to sing 脱掉!!! So ..... don't want to be the clown, no cjoice to force myself to wake up.
Desmond
Patrick
Sean
2pm, the KTV session ended. Just in time for lunch, i suggested Sushi, but all protested =( So no choice, voting is the only solution. And Dim Sum won the most votes ..... Headed over to Wisma's foodcourt as there are lotsa varieties there, and also most importantly, there's Dim Sum there!
Met up with Lyndnn (working in Tangs) for coffee after our lunch. Had a good 30mins chat together before she rush back to work. She really looked so different from the Lyndnn i knew.... I really missed the good old "Girl-Next-Door" Lynn =(
The day ends with a drink at Hooters Bar in Clarke Quay. Really a place for buddies to juz grab a jug of beer and juz chill out together. There's even peformances of the waitress playing the Hula-Hoop =P
Met up with both Marco & Alvin (Ex-colleagues) for a get together session. Met up at Orchard MRT. Not knowing what else 3 guys can do in Orchard. So we decided to go watch a movie. So headed over to Cineleisure and we watched "When a Stranger Calls". Not much of the gruesome type, more of the teenager horror, kinda similar to those like "Scream" and "I Know What You Did Last Summer"
Marco & Me
After the movie, we made our way to Wheelock Place as i insisted that we have Sushi for dinner. Marco then suggested the Sakae Sushi there as he mentioned that those Sushi Restaurants in Cine is not good.
Alvin & Me
After the dinner, thinking that its a Saturday, Marco suggested that we go for a drink, but i strongly protested as im on budget for a coming holiday plans and also for a new N80. So we spent the rest of the night @TCC
